Elias M. Castillo
March 28, 1933 ~ March 26, 2022
Mr. Elias M. Castillo, a Korean War Veteran was surrounded by his family when he entered into rest on March 26, 2022.
Elias played baseball with his neighborhood friends. When the time came they all entered the Armed Forces together, then they resumed their games and friendships after returning home. Elias also played alongside co-workers while a member of the IUE Local 780 during his 43 years of service with Friedrich Air Conditioning Co.
Elias was preceded in death by his parents, Francisca Martinez Castillo and Fernando Castillo; son, Fernando; siblings, Apolonio, Juan, Rebecca, and Ramona.
Mr. E. M. Castillo is survived by his wife Simona of 66 years, Simona Castillo; children, Diana, Esteban and wife Eileen and Lydia; grandchildren, Veronica, Nicole, Steven, Aaron, Anthony, Matthew, Jonathon, Julian, Chance, and Sarah; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Aurora, Elizabeth and Francis; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. We would also like to thank Rosie and her staff from Rose and Angels private home care for their excellent help.
A Visitation will be held 11am, Monday, April 25, 2022 with a 12pm Chapel Service at Meadowlawn Funeral Home (5611 E. Houston St.). Interment to follow 1:45pm, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. To leave a note for the family visit Meadowlawn.net and select obituaries.
