It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elvia R. Sandoval, who left us peacefully on February 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Houston, Texas on May 26, 1954, Elvia was the cherished daughter of Rosa Quinones and Jesus V. Rodriguez Sr., who preceded her in death.

Elvia married the love of her life Larry G. Sandoval, on March 11, 1978. Together they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of cherished memories filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they raised two children, Angelika Sandoval and Christopher R. Sandoval Sr., who were the pride of her life.

For 30 years, “Elvie” worked as a dedicated Medical Administrative Assistant at Brooke Army Medical Center, where she became known for her caring nature, attention to detail, and tireless work ethic. Her warmth and kindness extended not only to her family but to everyone she encountered, making her a beloved figure to all who knew her.

Her family will forever miss her comforting presence, her heartwarming smile, and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. Elvia’s “King Ranch Chicken”, Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Potato Salad and homemade tortillas were the highlight of every family gathering, a testament to her love and nurturing spirit.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and loving “Tia Emma”. Elvia’s greatest joy in life was watching her children grow and guiding them in raising her future generations. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.

Elvia leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories. She is survived by her husband Larry G. Sandoval, her children Angelika Sandoval and Christopher R. Sandoval Sr. , and her six grandchildren, Robert Davis, Roger S. Jimenez III, Joe Angel Jimenez, Dezire Marie Jimenez, Christopher R. Sandoval Jr. and Joshua Sandoval; her three great-grandchildren, Nehemiah Jimenez, Jesiah Jimenez, Avayah Jimenez; siblings, Yolanda Narvaiz (Joe), Mercedes (Daniel) Campos, Hortencia Doll (David), Anadel Arambul (Victor), Abel Rodriguez, Richard Quinones and loving sister in law Esther Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. She will be embraced in heaven by her beloved siblings; brother Jesus Rodriguez Jr., Evangelina (Willie) Nambo, Rosemary (Patricio) Vela Jr., She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Elvia’s life will be held privately where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the incredible impact she had on all who knew her.
