Elvin Greathouse Jr., passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 76. Elvin was born March 6, 1947 in Gonzales, Texas to the late Malinda Stephens and Elvin Greathouse Sr.
He graduated from Edwards High School and was drafted into the United States Army. Elvin served during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he became a Truck Driver and traveled all over the United States. Elvin was a humble but private man. He enjoyed eating the BBQ from the Market in Gonzales. During family gatherings he played dominos and checkers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Malinda Green and Elvin Greathouse Sr., sister, Everlena Cray. Elvin will be dearly missed by siblings, Linda Hardge and her husband, Herman Hardge, Joyce Armstrong, Kenneth Greathouse and his wife, Caren Greathouse, Ronnie Greathouse, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

There wasn’t a time he would come to Gonzales and not contact me or go by my house and blow. He started my kids to eat mangos. Always a story to tell us!!!!
