Emily I called her mom she was a sweet nice person I always admire her for being a nice mom and a wife I was her care provider for a few years before she had a new provider and her daughter in law I miss you mom may you rest in peace

Emily Gail O’Rourke passed away August 16, 2023 in La Vernia, Texas at the age of 68. She was born October 27, 1954 in Kerrville, Texas to Lee Roy and Helen Graham. Emily was a born again Christian, dedicated mother and wife. She raised three boys with her beloved husband, “Jerry”. Although her job as mother came first, Emily enjoyed helping those in need as a home healthcare nurses aid. In her later years, Emily enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with the grandkids. Emily also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and camping with family. After the passing of her husband in 2021, Emily went to live with her brother, Russell and sister in-law, Julie Graham and was blessed to be cared for by Cheryl Escobar with CMS Homecare. The family will be eternally grateful for the care she received.
Emily is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Helen Graham, husband of 43 years, Gerald “Jerry” O’Rourke and her brother, Charles Graham.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeremy (Adriana) O’Rourke, Joshua (Janelle) O’Rourke and Stephen (Jennifer) O’Rourke; grandchildren, Timothy, James, Jeremy Jr., D’Lynn, Gracie, Thomas, Nicholas, Peyton and Dakota; siblings, Milford (Lorie) Graham, Russell (Julie) Graham, Pauline Graham, M’Liss Graham (Wife of Charles); extended family and friends.
We will be celebrating Emily’s life on Saturday, Aug 26, 2023 at Livingway Family Church (La Vernia, 10688 US Hwy 87W, La Vernia, TX 78121) at 1:00 pm. Meal to be served afterwards.
