Emma Marie (Gonzales) Tijerina, 79, went to be with our Lord April 10, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 16, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Ben and Adeline Gonzales. Emma was a strong, compassionate and loving woman. Emma was a gentle soul with the heart of a child. She loved her children unconditionally and with that same heart loved her family and friends. Emma had the most contagious and kind smile. She loved the outdoors, animals and especially, music and dancing. Although she was a country girl to heart, she loved her red lipstick and polish! Emma was also very strong in her faith and remained so until her last day. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter, Tracey and son, Felix Tijerina Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Felix Tijerina; sons, Mack Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Billy Tijerina and Brandon Tijerina; daughters, Michelle Ford, Cynthia Tijerina and Jennifer Tijerina; fur-baby, Rudy; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Although we will miss her dearly, she would not want us to be sad, but to celebrate the life she lived and share the love she gave so generously.
