Mrs. Enicasia S. Navarro

Enicasia “Nico” Navarro entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born in Yorktown, Texas on December 14, 1936, to the late Concepcion Cruz Sistos and Felix Sistos. Enicasia affectionally known as “Nico” grew up helping her parents care for the household and her siblings. Nico was a dedicated daughter and sister who put her family before her own needs. Over the years she would garden, sew, crochet, and cook for the family.

Throughout her life she always kept the faith and prayed daily. She planted a seed in everyone’s heart, which she encountered with the devotion to our Lord and savior. She would have a daily devotional, enjoyed singing songs about God, and reading the bible.

She answered her calling by being a healthcare provider. She served her calling by giving of herself in her service to others. She treated everyone with tender loving care. Upon entering a home, Nico’s genuine love, care, and concern almost immediately made her a friend and family member. She was recognized with awards over the years for her services.

In addition, she would be a community advocate by taking her family with her to pray and minister to the needs of her community at local hospitals. Nico’s great faith and spirit has been passed on to her daughter and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Navarro, parents and her sister, Maria Rodriguez, brother, Reynaldo Sistos. Nico is survived by her only daughter, Sonya Navarro (Willie Esquivel); grandchildren, Kristelle Esquivel, William Esquivel, and Alexandra Esquivel; her 3 brothers, Manuel Sistos, Raul Sistos and Johnny Sistos and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 1:00pm at Meadowlawn Funeral Home with service to begin at 2:00pm. Interment to follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Park.
