With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Fidel (Felix) Fava, who entered eternal rest in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 77. Fidel was born on August 25, 1948, in El Dorado, Texas. He served proudly in the Marine Corp. Throughout his life, he exemplified an excellent work ethic, kindness to strangers, his love of his grandchildren and his unconditional love for his Godson David.
Felix was a simple man who found joy in life’s everyday blessings. He cherished his daily walks with his beloved grand dogs and could often be found visiting with his neighbors, sharing stories, laughter, and the latest neighborhood happenings. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and friendly nature made him someone everyone was happy to know.
Above all else, Felix treasured his family. He was kind, gentle, and devoted to those he loved, creating countless memories that will forever be held close by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His quiet strength and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone whose lives he touched.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved godchildren, David Aleman (Kristy) and Christine Mancha (Hope); his cherished grandchildren, Reilly and Reid; and his faithful grand fur babies, Flinn, Padfoot, Jake, Maxx, and Pongo, who brought him endless companionship and joy.
Though our hearts grieve his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Felix’s legacy of love, kindness, and gentle compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and neighbors. His memory will forever remind us to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, to care for one another, and to cherish the time we are given with those we love.
May Fidel (Felix) Fava rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
