Frankie Mae Molett was born on December 21, 1941, in Manor, Texas, to Leslie Molett and Evelyn Houston Molett. She attended Manor High School and later continued her education by pursuing her GED at St. Philip’s College.

Frankie was baptized and raised in the church, where attending Sunday school and worship was a part of everyday life. She later united with Lily of the Valley Church under the leadership of Pastor Steven Owens Sr.

Frankie was united in marriage to Clifton Earl Taplin Sr., and from this union three sons were born, Clifton Earl Taplin Jr., Charles Anthony Taplin, and Gregory Carl Taplin.

Frankie was a woman who believed in hard work and devotion to family. She worked diligently for many years at Kelly Air Force Base before retiring. Beyond her work, she was known for her warm kitchen and generous heart. Frankie loved to cook and became well known for her enchiladas, tea cakes, dumplings, and her unforgettable fried chicken. Her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of home cooked meals, and she cared for her family and neighbors alike through the food she lovingly prepared.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who leaves behind a host of cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her grandchildren include Clifton Leonard, Kahlia Jones, Destiny Taplin, Shawntiq Evans, Destiny Green, Jamal Smith, Morgan Taplin, Amber King, and Charles Taplin, Jr. she also leaves behind her siblings, Evelyn Barton, Dora Jones and Roy Molet,t Sr.

Frankie leaves a legacy of love, faith, and family that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
