Gene A. Sims, 73, passed away July 6th, 2009 in San Antonio Texas while surrounded by his family. Gene is survived by four children: Isaac, Freddie and Jeffrey Sims and Shikara Baker. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation is set for 5 PM Thursday, July 9th at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center, 5415 E. Houston St. Services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, July 10th from Rising Star Baptist Church, 330 Muegge, San Antonio, Texas.
