Mrs. Glenda Gayle Ellison

October 4, 1951 ~ November 4, 2022
Born in:
Corpus Christi , Texas
Resided in:
Floresville, Texas
Glenda Gayle Ellison was born on October 4, 1951 and went to her heavenly home on November 4, 2022. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Robert and Ida McGrue.
While Glenda was young, her parents relocated to San Antonio. There, she met and married Michael Henry Ellison. This union resulted in four children.
Glenda devoted her life to her children, sacrificing things for herself so that they could benefit. Every Sunday, while they were still small, she took all four kids to the Church of the Living God, thereby setting a spiritual foundation in each of them.
She worked for the City of San Antonio, eventually retiring from there as a valued employee. Anyone who spent time with her, from former co-workers to relatives and friends, would always say how smart she was and that it was a pleasure to be around her. Her children will miss her greatly, as she was an advisor, a comforter, and a rock-solid foundation.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Those who she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her four children: Steve, Wade, Michael Glynn and Carrie. She also leaves her four grandchildren: Steve Jr., Kiyana, Michael Jr., and Shaya, as well as her uncle, Richard Perryman and aunt, Jeraldene Marshall, along with many cousins and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Janice Lewis and Alma Faye Ponze for helping care for Glenda during her transition journey.
2 Corinthians 12:9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
