gloria barrera

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Gloria Tienda Barrera, entered eternal rest on May 20, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born on April 4, 1942 in Pablillo Nuevo Leon, Mexico to the late parents: Gumercindo and Rojelia Tienda.

Gloria was a loving mother and devoted wife. She married the love of her life, Rafael Barrera in November of 1970, where the two shared a beautiful union of 53 years together, until his departure.

Gloria was also a devout Catholic, and longtime member of St. Monica Catholic Church, where she grew spiritually, as her faith was very important to her.

Gloria was also a hard worker. She spent many years working in the janitorial industry until she retired. She will be greatly missed by family and many friends.

When she entered heaven, she was reunited with her parents, and her beloved husband, Rafael Barrera, and her sister: Guadalupe Tienda.

Her memories will be cherished and kept alive by her children: Javier Barrera (Roxane), and Marisol Barrera; her loving grandchildren: Joseph Barrera (Alyssa), Jacob Barrera, and Juliette Barrera; 1 great-granddaughter: Illiana Barrera, her brothers: Victor Chavez Bernal, and Juan Jose Bernal; his sister: Sorro Bernal; and numerous other close relatives and friends.
