Guadalupe P. Martinez

Guadalupe Pesina Martinez 97, was born November 28, 1926 she was born to Victor and Concepcion  Pesina who resided in Elmendorf, Texas she was one of eight children.

The family eventually relocated to San Antonio, Texas and there she met Joe Rivas Martinez and when they were married, it was for life. They were blessed with four children Joe Jr, Jesse, Raul and Irene.

Guadalupe was a loving Mother she loved cooking and prepared many delicious meals for her family, she was also hard working, serving many businesses as a professional housekeeper then later moved on to serve her community as a distinguished and respected Crossing Guard (Mama Patrol) making it her daily duty to safely guide and protect countless children as they made their way home from school.

Guadalupe also loved to garden and tend to her numerous plants, in fact later in life she planted a vegetable garden where she enjoyed spending time and even learned to prepare and preserve for her family and neighbors.

Guadalupe passed away peacefully Thursday October 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe R. Martinez; children Jesse, Raul and Irene Martinez and siblings; Victor Pesina Jr. ILario Pesina , Walter Pesina, Benito Pesina, and Angelita Garza.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Joe Pesina Martinez Jr.(wife Isabel), Jessie Pesina Martinez’ wife Sylvia Martinez,  grandchildren, Brenda Longoria, Sandra Martinez-Wahl, Joe Martinez III, Roy Martinez Jr., Rebecca Martinez-Aguilar, Melissa Martinez-Villarreal, Christopher Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Monica Hernandez, Leticia Martinez, Veronica Martinez and Raul Martinez Jr. and twenty six great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
