Hector Rodriguez

With profound love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who entered eternal rest on May 13, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 75. 

He was born on May 6, 1951, in San Benito, Texas, to Pedro Rodriguez and Ignacia Arce Rodriguez. From a young age, he was a faithful follower of Christ, attending San Juan Church and finding peace and devotion at the Grotto at Our Lady of Lourdes and loved going to Basilica of our Lady of San Juan de Valle. His faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. 

He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He took pride in keeping his truck spotless, cherished his time spent at South Padre Island, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family. Though he was a man of few words, his love ran deep and was felt by all who knew him—especially his beloved grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Rodriguez and Ignacia Arce Rodriguez, and by his beloved wife of 48 years, Yolanda Rodriguez. 

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried on by his children: daughters Melissa Rodriguez and Rosemary Morales; sons Hector Rodriguez, Jr., Michael Cervantes (wife Lisa), and Raymond Cervantes. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, as well as six sisters and four brothers, all of whom will continue to honor his memory. 

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
