Henry Lee Millett was born December 28, 1926 in Hays county, Texas. The first born of seven siblings which included four brothers and two sisters to Eddie and Lillian Waiters-Millett. He graduated from school and joined the United States Marine Corps whose motto is "Semper Fidelis" ("Always Faithful") That Marines have lived up to, and this motto is proved by the fact that there has never been a mutiny, or even the thought of one, among U.S. Marines. Semper Fidelis was adopted about 1883 as the motto of the Corps. Before that, there had been three mottoes, all traditional rather than official. Henry Lee Millett traveled extensively all over the world, and he always talked a lot about the Philippines and their culture. While in service during his touring, he was able to purchase his first car which he was very proud of. He was baptized at an early age, and receive the Lord as his personal savior. He became a member of New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Shubert, where he was ordained as a deacon, and faithfully served. He was preceded in death by his parents, also 2 brothers, Rev. E.H. Millett, Jr and Toney Millett. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Wilma Toney-Millett, two daughters, Juniorette "June" (Tim) Sorrell, Janette(Elijah) Bush, both of San Antonio, Texas, two sisters Evelyn Armstrong, Converse, Texas, and Cora(Shelby) Coleman of New Braunsfels, Texas, two brothers, Herman Millett, Gonzales, Texas, and Corwin Millett, Kerrville, Texas, Two aunts, Mary Johnson, New Braunsfels, Texas, and Ethel Ellison, San Francisco, California. There are six generations of Milletts, grand children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
