Hilda M. Collins

Hilda M. Collins passed away in San Antonio on Monday, February 11, 2008 at her residence at the age of 75. Hilda was born on October 3, 1932 in Gonzalez, Texas to Nathaniel Luke, Sr. and Pearl Glover. During her professional career, Hilda worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the medical field. She is survived by her children, Sgt. Alfred Collins, Sharon, Shirley and Teresa Collins; sisters, Ruby Furr and husband, Ben, Linda Sheppard, Jean Stoneworth and Evelyn Knox; brothers, Carl Jones and wife, Vera, Roy Jones, Wolford Jones and wife, Opal, Randolph Jones and wife, Artie, Marion Luke, Nathaniel Luke, Jr. and Donnie Luke. In addition, she is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center, 5415 E. Houston St. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Park.
