huey pace jr.
Huey Stanford Pace Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the age of 73 years young. He passed peacefully at home due to a chronic medical condition. Born in Huntsville, Texas; Huey graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree. After a fulfilling and meaningful 20-year career of faithful service to his country, Huey retired from the United States Marine Corps after earning the rank of Major. 1. Huey was the salutatorian of the class of 1966. He was a great friend through out high school. We ran track together. We also attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University. He was always focused on friendship and education. He would always share his knowledge and friendship with anyone. God bless the family and friends. We will miss his passionate friendship and wisdom.

  2. My father passed away when I was 6 years old. Bay has been the only father figure for me and my siblings. My most favorite memories have to do with playing gulf together and sharing life experiences. He was a great grandfather to my grandchildren and enjoyed playing and laughing with them. I’m sure he’s looking down on us enjoying the after life with God and his new wings. He will be greatly missed. DJ

  3. I had the pleasure of being a neighbor to Mr. Huey for approx 20 years. He was a gentleman and a kind person. Always friendly and loved talking about astrology. He extended a hand to my daughter and nephew whenever they ran into challenges with their math. As usual Huey had it all figured out and this was passed to my daughter and nephew. I thank God for Huey ‘s presence in my life. He fought a good fight and definitely will be missed. Barbara Gable-Johnson

  6. I saw Bay at his mother’s house (Miss Rosie) when I was 2 or three, that’s the only place my mom would allow me to go by myself…lol… A short dirt road I ran all the way to Miss Rosie’s house and all the way back. I wasn’t allowed to talk to strangers. One day when I ran down to Miss Rosie’s house Bay walked in shortly after I arrived, I gave Miss Rosie, her things was preparing to run back home when I encountered Bay. As I began to leave being that I was very young, he questioned where I was going. ( I couldn’t talk to strangers) “Mom didn’t play that” at this point I’m running towards our home, the whole way Bay was running behind me screaming “Where are you going little girl?” I ran inside told my mom a man was chasing me home. After my mom spoke with him and they cleared everything up, Bay did everything in his power to become my mom’s husband and our dad and I aquired the nickname (Bunny Rabbit) he couldn’t catch me, he was a runner can’t tell you how many times he told me of his skills on the football field, running track, tennis, pool, dominoes, cards and so much more .. I never imagined anything could hurt the way this does🙏🏾 I miss you….. See ya, Pops💜

  8. Growing up as a child in Huntsville, Bay and I would often go fishing on weekends and during the summer. It was during these times I discovered how much he loved to talk and enjoyed sports, mathematics, people and science. But more importantly, I learned to understand and appreciate how much he truly loved and adored my mother. For this love I am forever grateful. They spent forty-seven years together in marriage a tribute to an enduring partnership. I pray he is resting in God’s arms in eternal peace. Lewis
