March 3, 1947 ~ February 17, 2021
Huey Stanford Pace Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the age of 73 years young. He passed peacefully at home due to a chronic medical condition. Born in Huntsville, Texas; Huey graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree. After a fulfilling and meaningful 20-year career of faithful service to his country, Huey retired from the United States Marine Corps after earning the rank of Major.
After relocating to San Antonio in 1992, his committed desire to help others was demonstrated through his teaching of mathematics and computer science at various high schools throughout the San Antonio area. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, leader, soldier, educator, and loyal friend to many people. But most important of all, he was a believer in Christ. The love, patience, grace and service to people that Christ demonstrated is what Huey aimed to show every person that he met whether it was complete strangers or family members, no matter how distant or far away.
Huey Stanford Pace Jr. will be dearly missed by his ever-loving and supportive, beautiful wife of 47 years - Mamie L. Pace; children, Ronald McAdams, David Pace, Sharon Johnson, Robert Wincell Johnson, Don Purnell Johnson, Joseph Lewis Edwards, Janice Millhouse; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, other relatives, students and many, many friends.
