Ilene LoRee Spires Nitz Booth passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 at her residence in Lytle at the age of 64. She was born on November 28, 1944 at St. Frances Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska to Eileen Spires of Clarks, Nebraska and adopted by Pete and Bessie Nitz of Wann, Nebraska, which is where Ilene spent her childhood years gowing up on a farm. She later graduated high schhol from Ashland, Nebraska. Later in life, on September 4, 1965, Ilene married Dr. David L. Booth at Ashland Methodist Church. Ilene is survived by her loving husband, Dr. David Booth; sons, Robert James, Daniel David, Thomas Scott, Bill Lee and Jeffrey Jay Booth; grandchildren; Jennifer, Hannah, Brittany, Bailey, Mikaela, Madison, Jacob, Jordan, Jessica, Logan, Kacee, Connor and Brennan Booth. Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Bessie Nitz, and by a grandson, TJ Booth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society; www.cancer.org
