Isabel Trevino Walker passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. The youngest of seven siblings, she was born in Helotes, Texas on July 7, 1929. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 25 years, Rees Walker.
Isabel earned her BA degree from Incarnate Word College and her MLS from Our Lady of the Lake University. She had a long career in education teaching in Catholic schools and serving as a principal. After working as a librarian at San Antonio College for 21 years, she achieved a professorship in the business department. She held memberships and offices in various professional organizations.
Devotion to the Catholic faith was a great source of Isabel’s inner strength as she took an active role in parish activities and organizations in San Antonio and later at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek. Her humor and liveliness were well appreciated in her retirement community during her final years.
Aunt Bella will be lovingly remembered by all of her extended family including numerous nephews and nieces, who were especially devoted to her.
