Jack C. Moore, 82, passed away peacefully July 2, 2009 in San Antonio, TX following complications from a brief illness. Born on April 7, 1927 in Marion, Alabama, he was the youngest of five children. Jack served in the US Navy and graduated from the University of Alabama. His greatest corporate achievement was the purchase of Southwestern Pipe (SPAX, Inc) where he proudly nurtured many and retired as CEO in 1989. His move from Houston to New Braunfels in 1996 was a happy transition from the busy work life to a more simple existence. Jack Moore will be remembered for his love of family, nature, his black Lab, Jet, and his munificent generosity to all. He is survived by the love of his life, Martha. They met in college and were together more than 60 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Jackie, his son-in-law, Ian and his beloved grandson, Grayson. Jack was preceded in death by his two sons, Gary and Neal. Following a private cremation, a loving memorial service was held for his family and friends.
