Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jacqueline Ann Jackson, affectionately known as “Jackie,” entered eternal rest on July 15, 2023 at the age of 56 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to: Tommy L. Brown Sr. and Lois Steen Mike on December 9, 1966.
Jackie was a Texas native, who was born and raised in San Antonio. She attended S.H. Gates Elementary School, James W. Riley Middle School, and Sam Houston High School (The Cherokees), where she graduated Class of 1985 with her diploma.
After high school, Jackie established a strong work ethic so that she could support and provide opportunities for her only sons. She was nurturing and selfless as she would always think of others before her own needs.
In addition, she enjoyed being a mother and working as a caregiver. She provided the ultimate comfort and care to her private patients. Jackie loved and cared for all her family, and her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.
Jackie was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She was a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church for many years. One of her favorite bible verses was 23rd Psalms.
Jackie’s heart was golden. She will be forever cherished and remembered for her love to shop, her tacos, her well-known macaroni and cheese, her “Pepsi,” which was a must, and her happiness she always shared with those around her!
Jackie fought a long fight, and her last words were, “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”
She is survived by her sons: Courtney D. Mike, Michael L. Diamond Jr.; god-daughter: Jordynn McKinney, father: Tommy L. Brown Sr.; grandchildren: Ailani Diamond, Jamiyah Diamond, Danielle Tucker, Jeremy Rogers, Deon Thompson, April Thompson; her siblings: Tracelle Reid, Taichun Mike, Tommy Brown Jr., aunt: Cora “Jeannine” Gibbons, aunt: Marilyn “Darlene” Mosley, aunt: Felicia “Lisa” Mosley, great-aunt: Stella Overton (Houston, TX), uncles: Larry Brown, James Mike, and Jake Heron; nieces: Eureka Nious, Eboni Nious, DeSirs Skipper, and Treniqua Horne; nephew: Braiden Stephens, special cousin: Frank McClure, and numerous other close relatives and friends.
When Jackie entered the gates of glory, she was reunited with her mother: Lois S. Mike, grandparents: James W. & Maple C. Vaughns; and her grandmother: Mary E. Mosley.
