  1. James B. Banks You and I shared a bond; both having birthdays on Feb.6th. You will always be in my heart. My family and I send our deepest sympathys to you family. Love always; Your Sister Carolyn

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. One day soon, death will be swallowed up forever and those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus voice and come out. Revelation chapter 21 verses 3, 4 and John chapter 5 verses 28, 29.

  3. I am truly sorry for your loss. JB was my Uncle, I think I only met him once in my life. But his life touched a lot of people. The family will miss him deeply. With Sympathy, Jessica Banks

  4. In honor of a man who not only served his family, but his country to the fullest. With the pains of life ended, may he rest in eternal peace. To my Aunts, my Uncle Jimmy, and of course, my Dad…rest easy knowing your big brother is in a far better place than we are, and though the memories will bring tears, take the time to also share the laughter he was able to bring to your lives. My memory of my Uncle “JB” is how he opened his home to me as a kid, took me fishing in the ocean for the very first time and introduced me to my first ever Longhorn Steer! (up close and personal on a south Texas highway) As a fellow serviceman, I can proudly ask this honorable man to finally “stand relieved” from your post here on Earth. We have the watch now. May God Bless you.

  5. The last time I seen my uncle J.B. was at the death of his sister, Edra. It was a very emotional time for all the family, but their was hidden pleasure. Isn’t it strange how death pulls a family together. The pleasure was seeing J.B. Being able to hug him, to see and feel his kindness. I can still see the expression on his face when he seen me, mom and Lowell. It was pleasure to him. He was overwhelmed with how grown up we were, but we were all soooooo pleased to hugs each other again. You will be sadly missed, but will live on in our hearts forever. Your loving niece, Gina

  6. Uncle J.B. will be forever loved greatly missed and live in our hearts forever. Cherie Elser and family, husband Marty, cildren,Denny, Donny and Timmy

  7. There is so much that can be said about “PaPa” Banks. For the longest time I didn’t even know his real name. All I knew was that is what my nieces (his great-grandchilderen),and his grandchildren call him. But he was content with us all calling him PaPa(like PAW-PAW). He was the greatest papa to my nieces. Their eyes would like up when they talked about him, saw him, even when they mimiced him. Such a big bear of a guy to them with the most gentle of hearts. I thank him for all his love, caring and generosity for my nieces Daelyn and Kierstan. We will all miss you PaPa!

  8. Although we only had a few moments together through life’s journey, the short amount of time we shared will be cherished and remembered for the remainder of our lives. MAY GOD BLESS YOU, J.B. REST IN PEACE.

  9. To my brother JB,I remember when I was a little girl and Mom would hold me up to see your picture and say “this is your big brother JB” and I would kiss your picture. I’ll never forget the time that I really met the man in the picture and got to know him. Our time together was limited because of the service, but the love of a brother and sister travels over those miles. I will miss you deeply. One day when our circle becomes complete again we will have all the time that we missed here on earth together in heaven. My prayers and thoughts are with your wife and family.

  10. We ol God bles Unkl JB. He wus in the Air Fors and then he dide. We wil miss him but He is a Anjl ov God now. Love frum Alex Age 6

  11. I only remember meeting Uncle J.B. when Aunt Edra passed away, but I knew then that he was a good man with a lot of love for his family and his country. Death is a hard thing for all of us to understand. It takes time to heal and accept the loss of a loved one. I send my deepest sympathies to everyone who loved my uncle J.B. Although he will be deeply missed, he is in a better place now and I pray that he is with Aunt Edra and Jayden, taking care of each of them!

  12. I’ve met my Uncle JB once in my life. I didnt get to know him very much but he seemed like the type of man that anybody in the family could look up to. Even though I didnt know him very well I was sad when i heard the news, I look at my family like we are a group a very big group that is, of troops and I feel that my uncle JB led our group of troops. Our family has mourned his loss greatly but by us knowing that he is in a far better place now we will stick together as a troop and be all that we can be in life. i think uncle JB would like that. May he rest in peace..We love you and we will miss you.

    Love from, Alyssa Faber

  13. This beautiful person was my father, my daddy. I could not have asked for a better father, he was always there for all of us, his kids, grand children, great grand children and other peoples kids. He was a loving husband to my mother. The loss of my dad has not fully hit me, I’m not sure if it ever will, but I do know someday I will get to see him again. I love you Daddy….Tracy
