Jim passed away at home with his loving wife and his beloved mistress, Dakota (Family dog) by his side. Also by his side was his stepdaughter Brandy and good close Trail Ride friend Alice Castro
Jim was born to Raymond G. Jones and Yvonne Stone. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jessie and Pearlie Mae Jones and Marshall and Elsie Marie Stone, his father Raymond Jones, his beloved sister Marie Von Der Osten and step brother Philip Nelson.
He leaves behind his wife Marty Jones, mother Yvonne Nelson, stepfather Richard Nelson, daughter Amanda Carroll (Brian), Katie Jones (Sean), stepdaughter Brandy Bielke, stepson Daniel Bielke (Elizabeth), brothers Raymond Jones (Faye), Michael Jones (Mary), Bill Jones (Rosemary), Patrick Jones (Louisa) sisters Elizabeth Barnes (Carl) and Patricia McDonald (Joe), stepsister Bev Gieger (Rick) and stepbrother Warren (Julie). His grandchildren Hailey Grace Carroll, Caitlyn Carroll, Gavin Frost and Braedyn Frost he also leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Jim was born in Tallahassee Florida and at a young age his family moved to Ft. Walton Florida. His love for fishing, salt water fishing and hunting was great. As a child his mother would drop him off anywhere where he spent the weekends fishing and hunting. Jim was also the biggest Florida State Simanole fan, he could tell you the names of each present and past players, where they were from and any stat of the player. I would often tell him he held the record in Texas for having the most FSU caps. He was a season ticket holder and attended many Bowl games. Jim was also excellent in woodworking. When each of his daughters called and said they were pregnant he build each of the grand babies their own cradles. Jim also had a green thumb for gardening. Every year during the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo we always visited the Master Gardeners and purchased the Rodeo Tomatoes, this was the beginning of the gardening season.
Jim's wishes were to be cremated.

Beautiful tribute Marty! So sorry for your deep loss, but may it be a blessing to think of the happy years you had together. May the Lord comfort you as only He can, and give His own rest to your dear husband! Praying for you! Georgianna Henderson
Hello Marty,
Very sorry to here of Jim’s passing. My family grew up right behind Jim’s family in Fort Walton Beach. I was much younger than Jim but I always thought the Jones’ were my Family. God Bless
