April 12, 1920 ~ September 3, 2007
James Colvin was born to Livingston and Kate Colvin on April 12, 1920 in Giddings, Texas. He was the youngest of six children all of whom have preceded him in death. James loved football and was an active player on the football team while in school. On February 1, 1941 James married the love of his life Ruby Martin. To this union three daughters and one son were born. In 1943, James and Ruby moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he was employed at the Lone Star Brewery as a fork lift operator. He retired from Lone Star after 42 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Wayne Henderson. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 66 years, Ruby Colvin; daughters Isabel Wade (Herbert), Kay Terry (Leroy) of Elgin, TX and Diane Henderson of San Antonio, TX; two nieces Minnie Mae Jackson and Louise Jackson of Giddings, TX; six grand kids, eleven great grand kids and four great, great grand kids; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by all.

Hi, sorry to hear about Mr Jimmy passing. He is in a much happier place with God. I have fond memories of him when we were kids growing up.
