James Emil Hilbig

James Emil Hilbig, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. He was 67. Jim was born August 9, 1949, in San Antonio to Emil Sylvester Hilbig and Annie Cullinane Hilbig. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Daniel Hilbig Schroeder He is survived by his wife, Lillian Denise Hilbig; son Carl Emil Hilbig and wife, Debra, of San Antonio; son Patrick Hilbig Schroeder of San Antonio; sons Eric Odden (Angela) of Mineral Wells; and Travis Odden (Kayla) of Mineral Wells; grandchildren; Rebecca Hilbig, Patricia Hilbig, Dillion Odden, Chance Odden, Dakota Odden, Hadden Odden, Kaylie Odden and Zachary Odden; and greatgrandson Braysen Odden. Jim also is survived by bothers Gerard Hilbig (Ann) of Houston and Bill Hilbig (Beth) of Palm City, Florida, sisters Mary Salazar (Carlos), of Sutherland Springs, and Linda Hilbig Gonzales of LaVernia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:30 a.m.at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 1617 Iowa Street, San Antonio, Texas, followed by a rosary and memorial Mass at noon. Interment will follow at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery, Martinez, Texas.
