James Robert King was born on the 18th of September, 1970 in Charleston, Missouri. He attended the public schools near his home. The family made frequent moves around the country and some overseas areas. James' father was in the military for twenty seven years. James moved to San Antonio, Texas in August 1989, where he met and married Adelita Jimenez. They were married for four years.
James was a quiet, kind and gentle person who always had a smile for everyone he met and was eager to help anyone in need. He began his career in food service management while in Texas and spent most of his adult life in Texas.
James professed his belief in Christ and joined an African Methodist Episcopal Church under the leadership of Rev. C. J. Walker. James had a deep love of the Word of God and was the leader of numerous bible study groups. he was a compassionate and devoted prayer warrior for the sick and others in need.
On Tuesday evening, May 10th, 2017 at 8:05P.M. while a patient at Galveston Hospital, God saw fit to call him to eternal rest at the age of forty six years, seven months and twenty two days old.
James leaves to cherish his memory his parents, James and Jeanette King of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Charles King of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Shirley Fisher of Fort Eustis, Virginia and Christy Clark-Warren of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, LaToria King, Adelita King and Chatnie King of San Antonio, Texas along with many loving friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. He will be greatly missed.
