Guestbook

  1. We would go down to visit Uncle Emil and the family when Mom and Dad were splitting up.  I remember flying on a DC-3.  IT had a tail wheel and you climbed on at the rear.  We also went to visit by train, and Grandpa drove us down there once. One year, I must have been pre-school age, we went down.  They planned a birthday party for me.  Jeff was going to a movie and I squealed until they let me go with him.  I’m sure I threw him off his groove, but I learned how to put my feed on the seat in front, and watched him watch the girls. Another time after they moved to the house that Uncle Emil lived in, then Jeff and his family up to now, Jeff got me up on the roof of the house.  I was afraid to come back down the same way, so Uncle Emil talked me into jumping so he could catch me.  Jeff got into some trouble.   O that same trip, I managed to slip and fall in the cactus by the house.  Mom spent an hour plucking tines out of me.
