May my brother rest in peace. Thank you for taking me fishing and for my strawberry shakes in the middle of the night. I’ll always be your brat.
I only have positive memories of my stepfather John. He was such a jokester always making people laugh. He had the best names for all his dogs. He even nicknamed Gavin ‘thunder thighs’ when he was a baby. He reminds me of how My husband is with my kids, attentive and caring. He once taught me how to drive and then I hit another car, he was so cool and chill about everything! He also taught me how to make butterfly shrimp, which I make till this day. Thank you for all the good memories John, you will be missed.
I remember when I first met you and how you welcomed me with open arms. John is the spitting image of you. The stories you shared on our wedding day I will never forget. The love you have and the big heart didn’t go unnoticed! All the times you came over to give us a hand with our home and always wanting to see the boys and sharing pictures with me, I will cherish forever. You taught Owen how to hit the punching bag and after that all he wanted to do was box with his daddy. We will miss you dearly!!!
It is with a heavy heart that I say “see you later” to my childhood friend and teen buddy. The times we had, so much laughter and good times. I’ll never forget sitting on your steps til daylight laughing all night long. Our times at Local Motion bar. Fixing the car, Melissa yelling at us. And all the time having fun. Man, our times together will always make my heart smile. God bless you and your family who is in our prayers. Forever Bandits. Joe, John and Clint Rest in peace buddy. Your pal, Joe H. Cirilo.

I so remember the butterfly shrimp!!!
I have memories of him being very organized, putting velcro on his remotes so he wouldnt misplace them, and him always labeling things. He used to hook me up with cable whenever I needed it lol. He was always respectful to me and my sisters. I want to thank him for taking on the role as step dad to my little sister and showing her so many things as her father figure. I regret not talking to him more. I came off really strong but he was there when I needed him especially during my first pregnancy. I remember being full term and we went looking for a new truck for him at the Dodge Dealership. It was at least 8 hours and I’m pretty sure that is where my water broke. That night I couldnt take the pain any longer, So he rushed me to the hospital in his new truck. I attached a pic of him and Nick. He will truly be missed.
John, many fond memories that I will forever cherish of your summers at Lito’s house. To John’s family, and my Aunt Eva, my condolences you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Isac Martinez Jr.
