John Henry Lopez, age 47, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in Mobile, Alabama. John was born on August 30, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas to Henry H. Lopez and Mary M. Castaneda Lopez. John served his country proudly in the United States Army. In addition, John worked as a skilled laborer in the electrical industry, traveling to numerous states throughout his career. John was a dear friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 Pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Meadowlawn Tribute Center. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM promptly on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

  1. Johnny knew he was loved, and I know he loved us all dearly. He was a great brother and I miss him so much already. To honor him, I will watch over Paul Anthony and do all I can to “keep him straight” as John had once put it. Rest in peace, brother… give Grandma a kiss for me…and I’ll see you on the other side.

  5. I met John when I was around 14 years old. I thought John was the coolest guy in town and I wanted to be just like him. At John Marshall High school, I would look for Johnny and tried as best I could to imitate him – – – a goal that was never reached. Johhny was unique in his own way and I will admire and miss him always. My deepest condolences go out to the entire Lopez family. May God grant you peace in this difficult time.
