John William Luthi

John completed his earthly mission on June 24, 2014; with his eternal companion, Sheron, holding his hand. Dad was the fifth child born to Charles and Carol Emily Hale Luthi on July 9, 1940 in Afton, Wyoming. He married mom for time and all eternity on Friday, March 13, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, which was dad's goal. Dad set a great example for us all by dedicating his life to serving The Lord, his family, missionary work, and everyone he came in contact with. Dad is loved and survived by his sweetheart Sheron and nine children; Carol (Derek) Roper, John (Lisa) Luthi Jr., Robert (Trina) Luthi, R. Shad (Tracie) Luthi, Brandon Luthi, Lorin (Lacy Sorenson) Luthi, Joanna (Devin) Hathaway, Kaylon Luthi, and Jordan (Joivana) Luthi, 23 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren (1 more due any day), sisters; Charlene Putnam, Genell Bagley, Gloria Johnson, many nieces and nephews, cousins and his faithful dog Fred who was always watching over Dad and never left his side. John was preceded in death by his parents, brother C. Kent Luthi, and sister Carol Janice Luthi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Fox Hill Ward, 3730 West 6200 South. Memorial service will be Friday, July 4, 2014 at 11:30 at the Freedom Cemetery in Freedom, WY.
