Katherine Kennon Davis, 63, of San Antonio, died peacefully in San Antonio on Sunday, Oct 28. Known as "Grandma Kay" to her grandchildren, Kay was born in San Antonio to the late C. Read and Lorraine Kennon. Preceded in death by her parents and only sibling, Ken Kennon. Survived by her two sons and their families: Carl and Sally Bratton of Bulverde and their children, Kathleen and John; Jason and Stephanie Bratton of San Antonio and their children Laren, Peyton, and Ella Rae. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, M. Jeff Bratton and sister-in-law Shirley Kennon. Kay graduated from Lee HS in 1967 and enjoyed her days of cheerleading. Kay loved cooking and took great pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren on every occasion. She had a deep love for her family; her kindness and good spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service was held on Oct. 31 at St. Joseph Honey Creek Catholic Church. A private internment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests your donations to FTLDA, ftlda.org.

  1. Hi, Carl and Jason, this is Lou Miller from Bandera. I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I loved her like a sister she was always a true and loyal friend. She was the most giving and loving person I knew. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your loved ones.

  2. Just heard of Kay’s passing and am deeply saddened. We attended Lee H.S. together and we both loved our elected position of cheerleader for the Lee Volunteers. We lost track of each other after graduation, but I always remember her with the biggest, brightest smile that she shared with everyone she met. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in her family…
