Kelly Denise Shope

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Kelly Denise Shope, entered into eternal rest on November 2, 2022 at the young age of 56. She was born in Tyler, Texas to parents: John McCarty and Brenda K. Boase on February 8, 1966.

Kelly met and married the love of her life, Robert Shope in 1988. They shared a union of 35 blissful years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her three children. It was always important to her to take care of her family and her home.

Kelly’s heart extended into the kitchen where she pursued her passion for baking. Her favorite item to bake was warm chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. She also had a heart for animals, as she loved her cows and dogs.

Kelly spent much of her work career as a teacher for the daycare industry until KyliLyn, Josh, and Caleb came into her life. The strength she possessed was beyond many could endure, but she remained strong. Kelly’s legacy and family traditions will be carried on through her family and close friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

She leaves in her memory, her beloved husband, Robert Shope, her children: KyliLyn Shope, Joshua Shope, and Caleb Shope; her parents: John and Brenda McCarty; brothers: Christopher Cox (Monica), Marcos McCarty, and sister: Shannon McCarty, and many other close relatives and friends.
