Kenneth B. Hosier of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on January 2, 2024 at Connally Memorial Hospital in Floresville, Texas.

Kenneth was born in Buffalo, Kansas to Roy and Mary Lucy Mae Hosier on April 28, 1933. Kenneth went on to graduate from Fredonia High School in 1951. He also attended Independence Junior College in Independence, KS . While in school he was an excellent athlete and lettered in Football, Basketball and Track. He also played baseball and was an outstanding first baseman.

Kenneth spent 3 years in the Kansas National Guard and then went on to enlist in the Navy where he served for 23 years. While in the Navy he went all over the world, including Japan, Spain, Greece and Portugal. He was aboard many different aircraft carriers such as The USS Enterprise, The USS Saratoga and The USS Bon Homme Ruchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucy Hosier, brother Roy Hosier Jr., sister in law Melba Hosier, sister Juanita Trammel, brother in law Frank Trammel, Brothers in law Rick Freasier and Wayne Freasier, Sister in Law Terrie Freasier, Mother in Law Maude “Meme” Freasier, Father In Law B Freasier and Son in Law George B Stuart Jr.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Bobbie R. Freasier, daughter Kimberly Stuart, daughter Mary Velasquez and son in law Manuel Velasquez Jr. Grandchildren Colby Stuart, Olivia Stuart, Matthew Velasquez, Sophia Stuart and Great Grandson Henry Oncken and Great Grandson on the way Colby “CJ Stuart Jr. He is also survived by his brother Clarence and wife Shirley Hosier and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Frank Tejeda Veterans Home and Connally Memorial Hospital ICU nurses.
