Lawrence Eric Woodard

Lawrence Eric "Tuba" Woodard, 54, of San Antonio, TX , joined our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born in Mobile, AL, on April 1, 1958 to James E. and Virginia L. Woodard. The family moved from Mobile in 1968 and Lawrence attended Herff Elementary, Page Junior High School and Bracenridge High School and graduated from Healy Murphy Learning Academy. He was a star running back for Brackenridge High School and Healy Murphy Learning Academy. Lawrence was enlisted in the United States Army from 1978-1981 where he served in the Army Signal Unit. Later in life he married Maggie Houston. During their marriage he started a lawn and tree trimming service which he maintained until his health began to fail. He was survived by his wife Maggie Houston Woodard, his mother Virginia Lee Woodard, brothers Leemon Perkins and Anthony Lee Woodard, Son Lawrence E. "TJ" Taylor, daughter Stephanie Woodard, daughter Patricia Wheeler, son Xavier Jon Que Wheeler. His grandchildren Keishanny Taylor, Chresse Holmes, DaZani Wheeler, Trevin, Devien Wheeler, Jaque Caine, and Donya Waiters.
