Ms Pansy, as she was affectionately called, departed her earthly life on 8 August 2023. Libbia proudly served in the Women’s Army Corps as a Med Technician during both the Vietnam and Korean War. She was a Medical Laboratory Technician from 1949 until her retirement from military service in 1971. Libbia furthered her education after military retirement at San Antonio College obtaining an associate degree in science. She really enjoyed reading during her spare time and was a cat and dog lover. Ms Pansy was an independent family woman who believed with hard work the American Dream could be achieved. She was very humble and if you needed anything, even a place to lay your head, her door was always open. She touched so many lives and motivated others to achieve their American Dream. She was a member of The National Association of Black Military Women, Disabled American Veterans and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8541.
