Linda Eudelle Bellinger-Ross was the eldest of seven siblings, born on October 4, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas to the union of Henry Wesley Bellinger and Muriel Izene Bellinger. She grew up on the West side of San Antonio.
She attended Grant Elementary, Dunbar Junior High, and Phyllis Wheatly High School (Class of 1962). She attended Fox Tech Vocational School of Nursing. After graduation in 1963, she was licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing. She worked in various fields of nursing with her passion in Intensive Care. She was an asset to the Unit. She trained many new nurses in her specialty of Intensive Care Nurse. She also worked as a school nurse in Chandler, Texas where to this day, the now grown children speak praises to the care and advocacy she provided to and for them. She finished her nursing career caring for our precious elders. She eventually retired from nursing after 40 plus years.
She married Edwin Leon Ross, Sr. in 1965. This union produced two children: Cheryl Ann and Edwin Leon, Jr.
She attended West End Church of God in Christ at an early age. Later she attended services under the leadership of Elder Walter James where she accepted Christ and was baptized. Later in life, she renewed her faith under Apostle Jesse D. Hamilton, Sr. at Faith Tabernacle Church of Deliverance. She continued her faith at Greater Love Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Elder Ronald Garcia, where she fellowshipped until her death. She was a faithful member and church mother. She was faithful in her duties as church treasurer and facilitating Friday noonday prayer/Bible study. She loved the Lord and prayed for everyone’s salvation especially her children.
She is preceded in death by her parents Henry W. Bellinger and Muriel I. Bellinger; siblings Flennoy Caramel, Sr., James Edward, Mary Effie, and Theresa Margaret; niece Jeketha Monae and nephew Terry Wesley, Jr.
She leaves behind her children Cheryl Ann Woods (Rodney), Edwin Leon Ross, Jr. (Michelle), siblings; Rita Dolores Smith, Kenneth Wesley Bellinger; grandchildren James, Aaron (Sanya), Kiara, Sha’Kendria, Demarcus, Kyra, great grandchildren Jaylen, Aaron II, Asani and McKenzie and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, church family that loved her dearly and will miss her dearly.
