Lorene Annie Hulda Jackson

Lorene Schroeder Jackson passed away January 9, 2007 at the age of 72. A long-time resident of San Antonio, Lorene was born August 25, 1934 to Alvin and Nora Schroeder in LaVernia, Texas. Lorene was retired from SAISD. Lorene was an avid bowler, belonging to both Highland Social and Martinez Social Clubs. Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin, Sr. and Nora Schroeder, uncles: Eddie and Walter Schroeder, Edwin, Ferdinand and Rudolph Muehl, aunts: Bertha Rawe and Edna Schroeder. Lorene is survived by her children, J. Ross Jackson of Tecumla, Ca., Laverne (Luis) Espindola or Missouri City and Lynn (Larry) Reed of Bandera. To live on in her legacy are her grandchildren: Andre of Seattle, Melissa of Canada, Lisa (Dewayne) Gwin of Baytown, Tommy of Deer Park, Christopher of Rosenberg and Christina of Missouri City and great-grandchildren: Dustyn of Canada and Emily of Baytown. Lorene is also survived by her brothers William (Kathleen) and Alvin, jr. (Mary) and a host of nephews and nieces and other aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be Friday, February 2, 2007 at MeadowLawn Tribute Center located at 5415 E. Houston Street at 2:00P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Lorene's name to Highland Social Club or to the American Cancer Society for the study of pancreatic cancer. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of Vitas Hospice and Dr. James R. Watson for the loving care given to our Mom during her illness.
