Louis Carpenter

Louis Carpenter was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 28, 1925 the third child of loving parents, Roger and Nettie Mae Carpenter.  After leaving home at 18 years old, with his wife Virgil in tow, they settled in New York City for several years.

His profession as an Entrepreneur in the Aviation Industry, afforded them the opportunity to become  world travelers, visiting numerous monumental cities around the world.

AKA, “LC”, he was an avid golfer, who won numerous awards and trophies for his skills on the greens.

In the 1980’s Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter settled in California.  They lived well and peacefully in Los Angeles until Virgil passed in 2017, after moving back to be close to family.

In late 2020 Louis moved back to San Antonio, Texas to be surrounded by his beloved nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his older siblings, A.D. Carpenter in 2018 and Elnora Rector in 2019.  Uncle Nookie is survived by his nieces, Marion Hall, Nettie Mae McFarland, Eleanor Brown and nephews, Eugene Rector, Roger Rector (Mable Rector), Lewis A. Rector, Anthony Rector and Lenoris Carpenter, the Love Family as well as a whole host of family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.
