She studied directly under the honorable and late Mae Hicks, founder of Hicks Beauty School and a multitude of other businesses. Lucille was initially a self trained hair braider. Miss Hicks took Lucille under her wing and trained her in exchange for cleaning the school, running errands, etc. Lucille worked her way up to styling the heads of the beauty school's clients, alternating between freelancing for herself. Lucille was a kind, loving, caring, generous, trustworthy and humble woman. While she adjusted to the city life in San Antonio, Texas she never forgot her humble beginnings. She was a self made woman who had faith in God. She will be surely missed by many loved ones. Her loved ones know that Lucille is at peace as she's welcomed into the Father's Kingdom. She'll be oh so happy to be reunited with her parents, siblings and other loved ones. Lucille would want all of us to rejoice for her in the fact that she has flown home to Jesus and is FREE. Another bell rang in Heaven May, 29th, 2016. We all love you my favorite aunt Lucille.
