Lucy Reyes Delgado, 82, passed away December 23, 2023. Born Luz Casillas Reyes on January 26, 1941 in Somerset, Texas to Pablo and Elvira Reyes. It was in her high school senior year that she met who would become the love of her life, Nicolas Delgado. Lucy asked Nick to prom and they quickly realized how much they both loved dancing, it was one of their favorite things to do together. They were wonderful dancers and enjoyed dancing particularly to Boleros, Cumbia and Country music. Together, they raised two children, John Anthony and Debbie. In the earlier years, they got to travel and vacation together at various cities. Lucy got to see New York, California and Mexico City, among others. Although she enjoyed travelling and dancing, the thing that she loved the most was being a wife and mother, decorating her house, tending to her plants and serving her God, Jehovah. Lucy was a stay-at-home mother and would devote herself to her children, grand children and great grand children. Lucy along with Nick enjoyed their ministry work and their friendships with their spiritual brothers and sisters in the congregation at the Kingdom Hall. Lucy will be dearly missed by her family and friends but we find comfort in knowing we will see her once again.  Acts 24:15

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Santiago “Jimmy” Reyes, Pablo Reyes Jr., Victor Reyes, Felix Reyes, Vera Holden, Chonita Cortez and Emilia Salinas.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 59 years, Nicolas A. Delgado; children, John Anthony (Guadalupe) Delgado and Debra “Debbie” (Toby) Bowman; grandchildren, John Anthony (Deanna) Delgado Jr., Kevin (Desiree) Delgado, Christopher M.
