October 29, 1957 ~ January 15, 2017
Lupita Fuentes, known to family and friends as "Lupe," was born on October 29, 1957 in San Antonio, TX. She was the 3rd of 10 children born to Fernando and Irene Adamez. Lupe attended school in the San Antonio Independent School District where she graduated as a Cherokee from Sam Houston High School in 1976. Though Lupe worked for various companies, sometimes holding two and three jobs at a time; some of her most memorable positions were held at HEB, Auto Zone, Judson Independent School District, and most recently the San Antonio Zoo where she was known and loved as "base." Lupe met many friends along her journey in life, many of whom have expressed the positive impact she has had on their lives; this says so much about her vibrant personality.
Lupe's #1 hobby was playing none other than BINGO, for many years prior to her illness she attended bingo every Sunday with her mother; she would also attend with her sisters and friends on her free time. In addition to playing bingo, Lupe loved spending time with her family & friends, whether it was trying a new restaurant for dinner, attending birthday parties, or having a family fun day consisting of potluck and poker she enjoyed herself as long as she was with the people she loved. One thing everyone agrees about Lupe is that she was the most selfless, sweetest, and kindest woman you'd ever come across. Lupe loved to make others happy, even before herself. She has truly given her last dime to someone in need. It is for her beautiful personality and various acts of kindness that she will truly be missed by everyone she met. One lesson Lupe would want others to take from her is to "live life, be kind to one another, and when possible pay it forward."
Lupe leaves to cherish her memory a large loving family consisting of her Soulmate, Kenneth Pope; Mother, Irene Adamez; Daughter, Krystal Costello; Son & Daughter-in-law Johnny & Lauren Garza; Grandchildren, Jaliyah & Jada Garza; Brothers, Junior Adamez, Jimmy Adamez, and Ricardo Adamez; Sisters, Mary Govea, Joanie Samudio, Blanca Mermea, Esther Gomez, Sandy Diaz, and Andrea Adamez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of additional family members and friends.

With Love The Johnson Family
My love and prayers to the family. Lupe will be missed so much, she had so much love for everyone, always made a gloomy day such a bright day. She had the most love for Christ, witnessed to me with a smile that told me she was looking straight into Christ eyes. If I have a message for me and everyone who knew her, yes, love one another, help others before yourself, do it the only way she knew how, and that was to accept and have Christ in our hearts. I love and will miss Lupe dearly.
My condolence to Lupita’s entire family. I had the pleasure of meeting Lupita and Kenneth two wonderful loving people. I thank God for bringing them into my life. Everyday that we sat in that chemo room together there was never a day that she complain. She lived life to the fullest we had many deep conversations. She always talked about how Kenneth and her family made her so happy especially on her birthday when they took her out to dance. God bless us all and may my good friend Lupita rest in peace
Love, Peace, and Happiness to all who knew this wonderful person God created
I didn’t know you Ms Lipita except through your niece Ashley. She would speak of you and your love of bingo and dancing. She loved you dearly. Go dance among the stars and shine bright for all who loved you.
