Margaret Ann Smith

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Margaret Ann Smith, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2023, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 76. Margaret was born to Seward Francis and Helen Louise Gardner on November 25, 1947 in Galveston, Texas.

Margaret was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She attended Word of Faith Christian Center, where she remained an active member for many years.

Margaret was also a loving mother and grandmother. She held a strong work ethic which created the opportunity for her to support her children and her family. She was nurturing, selfless, and always very kind to others. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren. She will be forever cherished for such a golden heart, her contagious smile, and most importantly, lifting God through praise.

When Margaret entered heaven, she reunited with her parents, and her daughter: Natalie Smith-Mike.

Margaret leaves to cherish in her memory: her loving son: Derrick Eugene Smith, her brother: Alvin Francis, her sister: Carlene Houze; three grandchildren: Bridney Autry, Jordan Mike, and Jaydan Mike; three great-grandchildren: Kristen Miller, Journey Steen; and Natalie Autry; nieces: Joi Houze and Carlette Dickerson, and numerous other close relatives and friends.
