Margaret Jean Arington was born December 10, 1938 in Waelder, Texas to loving parents Quinton Hardaway and Pudine Freeman. She passed away peacefully the evening of May 4, 2023 at the age of eighty-four.

Margaret was a very hardworking and driven woman. She never lost her determination, even putting herself through college to become an accountant. Margaret was even one of the first black accountants at Sigmor Shamrock.

There was nothing Margaret enjoyed more than being surrounded by family, always putting them first. She was nothing short of an extraordinary Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Margaret also enjoyed shopping, and traveling.

Margaret is preceded in death by both parents, as well as her sister Hattie Morgan. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of forty-seven years Wesley Arington, Daughters Debra and Phyllis Sance, Son Leroy Sance Jr., half siblings Quentin Hardaway Jr, Alton Hardaway and Doris Nell, as well as grandchildren Demetria, Brandy, and Monisha. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Xion, Samuel, Xya, and Perris in addition to her nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Margaret leaves behind a life and legacy that will not soon be forgotten. She will be missed dearly by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.
