Margarita Villarreal Quesada, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away
peacefully on October 7th, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family.

Margarita Villarreal Quesada, also known as “Mage and/or Margie” was born on
February 21, 1942 in Asherton, Texas to Ruperto Castilleja Sr. and Dorotea Villarreal.
She is preceded in death by her father; Ruperto Castilleja Sr, her Grandparents,
Nephew Roberto Santos as well as numerous uncles and aunts.

Margarita leaves behind a legacy of love, family and unity as she always practiced
Hope, Faith and Love. She was so loving and always giving a hand to others and made
her family and friends her priority.

For years, Margarita was an avid worker for AFL-CIO/CLF as a secretary, she loved her
job and was very dedicated. She was a member of AFSCME Local 2399, OPEIU 298
and Laborers 1095. Margie helped organize many workers during her labor career.
There she formed a very close relationship with Linda Chavez-Thompson, Katherine
Lutz, Terri & Vida Ramos, Peter Javier & Mari Ramirez. Although Margie fought hard all
her life through dedication, she could not overcome her battle with cancer.

Survivors include her mother, Dorotea Castilleja, Brothers and Sisters; Ruperto
Castilleja Jr. of San Antonio, Casimira Rodriguez of Colo., Ricardo Castilleja of Idaho,
Guillermo Castilleja of Washington, Dominga J. Castilleja of San Antonio, Manuel
Castilleja of Catarina Tx., Juan Castilleja of Catarina Tx., Elena Kingsland of Colo., Jose
Castilleja of San Antonio, Nephews Rodolfo, +Roberto and Salvador Santos as well as
other numerous nieces and nephews and one surviving aunt, Santos V. Cruz.

Prior to her final departure, she commented that she was going to reunite with her
grandmother, Sabas Villarreal. Margarita will be greatly missed by all and her memory
will always remain in our hearts
