Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Maria Estella Martinez, affectionately known as “Stella,” entered eternal rest on June 4, 2024 at the age of 74 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on November 27, 1949 to the late Primitivo and Rosauda Ontiveros in Hondo, Texas.

Stella met and married her best friend and the love of her life, Victor Rangel Martinez, and the two shared a wonderful union of 42 years and raised their four together.

Stella was a very loving person and she will be remembered for her nurturing love, giving spirit, and kind heart. Her absence is deeply felt, and she will be truly missed by those who were dear to her.

Stella was greeted in heaven by her parents, her husband, Victor Rangel Martinez, and her sister: Gloria Soto.

She leaves behind her legacy to her loving children: Richard Martinez (Elisa), Robert Martinez (Linda), Albert Martinez, and Rachel Martinez; 5 grandchildren: Pablo Martinez, Diego Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Michael Martinez, and Matthew Martinez; 1 great-granddaughter: Autumn Martinez; her brother: Ralph Ontiveros; and numerous other close relatives and friends.

You never judged me and I always appreciated that. You always knew how to make someone laugh and it was contagious, you would have us all laughing until our stomachs hurt.
