March 8, 1966 ~ May 15, 2024

Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: San Antonio, Texas

One May 5, 2024 Marina Martinez Hartfield was called home, she passed on peacefully. Marina was born on March 8, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas to Raymond L. Martinez Sr. and Elisa Lopez Hernandez Martinez.

Marina received her formal education through SAISD and later on decided to complete her schooling by getting her GED. She had a passion for caretaking so she took nursing courses that aided in her working at nursing homes as a caretaker.

Marina was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to creating everlasting memories with her kids and grandkids. Marina was a joy to be around and anyone in her presence always felt that.

Marina loved music, didn’t matter the genre. She was the life of the party and loved having a good time with her friends and family. She loved to cook and make sure everyone was fed and taken care of. Marina worked hard through life and no matter the struggles she faced she made sure her kids were always taken care of. Marina extended that same love and care to anyone that came into her life, she was quickly accepting and was always unapologetically herself.

Marina’s strength is what we’ll remember, her love is what we’ll hold onto and her laughter is what we’ll cherish forever and always.

Marina was preceded in death by Father Raymond L. Martinez Sr. and siblings Donna E. Martinez, Mary M. Martinez, Ruben A. Martinez, Raymond Martinez Jr. David Martinez and Julia Martinez.

She is survived by her children Michael (Nicole), Jeremiah (La Toya), Dwayne, Anthony, and Belinda. Grandchildren Desiree, Da Vonte, Darius, Jeremiah, Nevaeh, Shawn, J’Mariah, Athena, De Juan, Skye, Imani, Mikiya, DaMichael and JaMichael.
