Mary Ann Martinez gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born May 26, 1951 in Seguin, TX to the late Irene Villarreal and Pablo A. Sandoval. Mary Ann was an angel on earth who always cared and gave to others. She would always place others before herself. She and her family would volunteer and assist with donations around San Antonio, to include Alamo City Christian Fellowship Church. Mary Ann had many artistic talents including painting, drawing, sewing and various other art forms. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Our Lady of the Lake University. She retired from Harlandale ISD after 32 years of dedicated service in Education. Mary Ann was passionate about educating the youth and bringing out the best in everyone, especially her special needs students. Her family will cherish the memories of enjoying good food together, their Christmases in Brownfield with extended family and road trips to Fredericksburg for the great peaches. If Mary Ann could leave us with one lesson, it would be to never stop moving forward, never give up and never quit.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Mary Ann will be dearly missed by her sons; Aaron G. Martinez his wife, Cynthia Martinez, Paul A. Martinez and his girlfriend, Alina Lundblade; sister, Irma Sandoval, and nephew Nathan Sandoval; grandsons, Gabriel Martinez, Anthony Martinez and granddaughter, Isabel Martinez.
