Mary C. Medina went to be with the Lord, April 7, 2022. She was born February 9, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas to Antonio and Otilia Cervantes. Mary was one of ten children so she was always very family oriented. She loved family gatherings and keeping old family traditions alive. Mary was known as “the life of the party”. She tried her best to bring a smile to everyone’s face and was very outgoing, enjoyed dancing and cracking jokes. Mary was also very independent; she always did everything on her own and was not shy about speaking her mind. Aside from her fun and loving personality, Mary was known for her great cooking skills, particularly her fresh tortillas, her tamale making, and, of course, her renowned menudo recipe. Mary will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teofilo Medina; her parents, Antonio and Otilia Cervantes and 8 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Isabel (Francisco) Salinas, Rosemary Gutierrez, Victoria Medina, Robert (Yvonne) Medina, Manuel Medina and Mark (Elida) Medina; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Dolores Guzy; extended family and friends.
