Mary G. Shannon

Mary was born September 20, 1926, to John and Nellie Rucker. She was the eldest of 12 Children, and had just turned 90 years old. Mary Geneva Rucker, affectionately known as "Aunt Nit" by her family, departed this earth on November 4, 2016, on a very quiet peaceful night. As she entered into The Lord's presence, we saw her face look absolutely peaceful. Mary was a faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 80 years. Mary was the proud mother of two sons, Charles B. Shannon(deceased), Vernon Shannon(deceased) and grandson, Ervin Shannon. She leaves behind to cherish her life, grandson, Ervin Shannon, two sisters, Marceline Gipson, Betty Jo Johnson, and a host of relative and friends.
