Mary Jane Belizaire

mary belizaire
Mary Jane Belizaire, affectionately known as “Jane”, gained her heavenly wings on April 6, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to parents: Carlton and Agnes Zenon on June 8, 1937. Jane was the eldest of 13 children, as she would always ensure everyone knew that she was in charge. She was also a loving sister, mother, and grandmother, as many would call her “Grandma” or “GiGi.” Jane’s leadership role led her to a career in financial banking, where she worked as a Collections Officer for over 30 + years. She also worked in retail as a Sales Manager for 31 years, and later retired. Her passion was to prepare decadent meals from the kitchen of a Louisiana cook. The family will certainly miss every dish that she touched. Jane will be forever cherished in our hearts for her kind, loving spirit, and her strong-willed personality. She is preceded in death by her parents: Carlton and Agnes Zenon, her sons: Michael and Bryan Belizaire, her sisters: Saralee and Margaret Zenon, and her brothers: Paul and Jimmy Zenon. She is survived by her daughter Sheila Malone, brothers: Carl Zenon (Linda) and John Zenon, sisters: Clara Price, Leanna Bates, Geraldine Chargois, Delores Young, Rita Stephenson (Jerry), and Diana Sonnier (Raymond); grandchildren: Rodney André Malone, Sr. (Megan), Henry Lee Malone, Jr., Tanikka Nicole Malone, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous close relatives and friends, including her best friend of over 70 years, Joyce McZeal. A Memorial Rosary will begin on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 10:30AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1819 Nevada St. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00am In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1819 Nevada St., San Antonio, TX 78203.
