May 25, 1937 ~ July 1, 2021
Mary Lou Crosby was born on May 25, 1937 in Urbana, Ohio. She spent her first 10 years living the
smalltown life before the family relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas.
At the age of 16, Mary Lou was on her own to find her place in the world. She would eventually marry and have her children. When her marriage failed to flourish, she struck out to forge a new life for herself and her children. She was proudly
employed by The Coastal Corporation for 27 years before retiring in 1999.
She enjoyed a leisurely post-retirement life puttering with her plants with her little dog by her side. Mary Lou passed away on July 1, 2021 after a brief illness, her children, a son, Lorin E. Crosby, III and a daughter, Glynnis M. Crosby were
by her side. In addition to her children, she is survived by her daughter-in-law Tammy Crosby, and her grandchildren, Meagan Webb (Scott), Lucas Crosby and Derrick Crosby. Extended family mourning her loss include a much-loved nephew, Michael Bridges (Cathy) and a plethora of great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by lifelong and much loved friends Mary Nossek (Carl) and Billie Nell Webb as well as a sister, Sharon Crownover (Bill). A private memorial will be held at a later date.
